Lecture at Medical Emergency Relief International

Jennifer Palmer from the Humanitarian Crises Group delivered a lecture at the London-based medical organisation, Medical Emergency Relief International (Merlin), on her research called, “Making sense of sleeping sickness in South Sudan”. The project sought to understand how lay people and health workers make use of passive screening services for sleeping sickness/HAT in the post-conflict context, a situation in which funding appears to be scarce for active, programme-led approaches to case-detection. Further collaborations were also discussed.
