Debate: The Future of Humanitarian Work in a Global World
On the occasion of the publication of Many Reasons to Intervene: French and British Approaches to Humanitarian Action (Hurst Publishing), Karl Blanchet, Lecturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and member of the Public Health Group on Humanitarian Crises ( http://crises.lshtm.ac.uk/) will invite a panel of French and British experts on humanitarian aid (Including Hugo Slim and Pascal Brouillet). The discussion will be chaired by Anne-Cecile Robert, member of the editorial committee of the Monde Diplomatique, and will delineate the main differences between French and British humanitarian actions. The discussion will also consider the future of humanitarian work.
