CARA fellowships for academics at risk of persecution

The Council for At-Risk Academics (CARA), provides support to academics and scientists fleeing from discrimination, persecution, suffering and violence in some of the world’s most dangerous places. The aim is to protect such people and preserve their invaluable knowledge and skills. This support usually involves the placement of academics in university posts throughout the UK and elsewhere in order to foster the sharing of international experiences and novel perspectives.

The CARA Fellowship Programme offers funding to cover tuition fees and living expenses for academics at risk of persecution in their home countries and who are seeking to take up a placement in one of the 110 universities globally which support CARA. The final fellowship application deadline for persecuted academics residing in the UK and EU is Friday 25th March 2016. See the Cara website for more information.
