Child refugees in Calais

Lunchtime event to support child refugees in Calais, Weds 18th October, 12.30pm, LG7 (Keppel St)

Nearly one year ago the Calais “jungle” was demolished, yet hundreds of child refugees are still sleeping rough and are at risk of violence from police and abuse from traffickers. We are expecting a debate in Parliament on this issue on the 24th October.

We need to get the issue of child refugees in Calais back on the political agenda. Coordinated by Safe Passage, supporters of refugees across the country are getting together this week to write to their MP and discuss how to mark this anniversary in their local area.

Please come along to this lunchtime letter-writing session, where we’ll be writing to our MPs to inform them of the debate.
